You are invited to the encore of ENHANCE – Voices in motion! This event will take place at the University of Twente, on the 10th of June 2026. A FREE festival-like conference like no other, where you may consider yourself the owner of a futuring experience. Move the curtains and explore challenges and opportunities for a society we all want to live in: from a local to a global perspective. This event marks the closing of the three-year Erasmus+ co-funded project ENHANCE. Read more below and sign up now (free registration)!

On the 9th of June, the day before the festival, there will be a free preparty at DesignLab University of Twente, meant for people living outside of the Netherlands:
- Learn more about this collaborative ecosystem.
- Enjoy a Dutch-style lunch.
- Connect with fellow international visitors.
- Witness the opening of an exhibition.
- You will receive your festival essentials.
Festival day – 10th of June 2026
For just one day, one part of the campus of University of Twente turns into an ENHANCE village. Dutch and/or English speaking people of all ages, countries and disciplines (locals/students/academics/government) are welcome! Together with various partners, the project team is working enthusiastically on creating a memorable experience for you. More details will follow soon. To give you an idea, here is a glimpse of what is to come:
- Explore the futures of six countries: Enter the temporary homes of each country involved: a multisensory experience of the culture and futures created in Lithuania, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Portugal and the Netherlands. Researchers and country representatives will be more than happy to answer all of your questions.
- Engage in the presentations: A scheduled programme with presentations from researchers who are passionate about taking you with them in their learning process of tackling societal challenges together with their local communities.
- Join mini futures workshops: Think about well-being, climate, the development of artificial intelligence: it is happening all around us. We are all responsible for taking action: for ourselves, our peers and our communities. But how to do this? Two moderators will guide you through futures thinking processes. In Dutch and English, audiences 16+.
- Apply futuring tools yourself: Are you interested in applying futuring techniques in your work, study or research? There will be a booth with tools, tips and tricks that you can touch and play with. As a visitor of this festival, you will see the prerelease of the methodology guide, that you can take home with you.
- Boulevard: Pre-University has a special programme in store for young people between 4-18 years. Parents: Take them with you. Or sign up yourself!
- No festival without food, drinks and music: When you enter the area, you will receive free tokens so can enjoy some (healthy) sweets and drinks. Music will be provided by local musicians of Twente.

About ENHANCE
Societal challenges are multifaceted and happen on a global scale. We already notice this around us, and one way or another, we will all be affected. So now is the time for us to use our discipline, experiences and curiosity to make our communities, societies and our planet a better place for all.
For the past three years, a multidisciplinary team of researchers across Europe has been working collaboratively, to help create the change that is needed to move towards a shared vision of making society better for everyone. They were trained to give local communities a voice that amplified their needs, through future workshops: The essence of ENHANCE, a European project co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.
The contributors to this project take great pride in sharing the lessons and knowledge they have accumulated throughout these years. It is our privilege to connect the different worlds and offer everyone the golden ticket to open the curtains of ENHANCE – Voices in motion. Whether you want to listen and feel inspired, discuss and learn, brainstorm and expand your mind: use your voice, participate and become key contributor of your own experience and a better world: From a local to a global level.
