Organisation

Vilnius County Adomas Mickevičius Public Library, located in the historic Tiškevičiai Palace, has been an important cultural and educational centre since its establishment in 1950. The library serves as a methodological centre for the 13 public libraries of the Vilnius region.

With a collection of nearly half a million items, the library promotes reading, creativity, and cultural engagement. Guided by values such as community, sustainability, freedom of expression, and lifelong learning, the library organises a wide range of events, exhibitions, and training activities, while also supporting professional development across the region. In recent years, it has further strengthened its focus on sustainability and international cooperation. Its motto is: “Give meaning to your discoveries.”
