Svenja Damberg

Future Workshop Facilitator, Researcher

Svenja Damberg is an Associate Professor in Sustainability and Circularity at the Aalborg University (AAU), Denmark as well as a research fellow at the DesignLab of the University of Twente in The Netherlands. Svenja’s expertise lies in understanding the mechanisms behind sustainability transitions with a focus on consumer and organizational behavior based on empirical evidence. Her passion lies in building the bridge between research and practice regarding tackling sustainability-related challenges. Prior to joining the AAU, Svenja worked as a postdoctoral researcher in a third-party funded project on sustainable regional development in Germany as well as an Assistant Professor within Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management in The Netherlands. Svenja closely collaborates with companies in co-organizing workshops, including design thinking approaches for circular product development. She is also a Faculty Innovation Fellow at Stanford’s d.school.
