Dr. Ria Wolkorte is a postdoc researcher at the Faculty of Behavioural, Management and Social sciences (BMS). She has a PhD in medical sciences from the University of Groningen (The Netherlands). Previous work focused on multidisciplinary guideline development for people with intellectual disabilities. She is currently involved in the TOPFIT Citizenlab, which is a regional fieldlab focused on citizen science for health and wellbeing. This fieldlab is funded by the regional and national government and aims to grow into a sustainable collaboration between relevant stakeholders while conducting citizen science projects to strengthen communities. In the fieldlab she focuses on inclusion of vulnerable groups in research projects, collaboration between different stakeholders on an equal footing, monitoring and evaluation of projects, ethics, and data management. Ria Wolkorte is member of the European Citizen Science Association working group Citizen science for health.
