Dr. Marlene McCormack is an Assistant Professor at Dublin City University and Programme Chair of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education programme, with a specific interest in professional practice with young children. Marlene has many years of experience in the NGO sector, working with membership-based early childhood organisations in the areas of training and development, communication, and policy.
Her research interests lie in the areas of pedagogical documentation, professional practice/practicum, and play. She has a strong commitment to engaged research with other professional educators and community- based settings. Marlene currently sits as a Director on a number of statutory and non-statutory Boards. She is also involved as a Director in a social enterprise organisation which offers adult education and other services to women from disadvantaged areas.
