Helena Leino works as associate professor in environmental policy at the Tampere university. She teaches in Leadership for change master’s programme sustainable governance and environmental policy & planning issues. Her own research focus is on sustainable urbanization, land use planning conflicts and the role of biodiversity in densifying cities. In these issues the perspective is citizen’s viewpoint, the role of knowledge co-production and how citizens are involved in the urban planning processes.
