Cllr Eoin Ó Broin

Policymaker

My career has been in Energy Systems Modelling, a branch of engineering. This has given me an understanding of the relationship between energy use and climate change, and has encouraged me to be solutions-focused. I’m also a committed trade unionist and have highlighted the issues facing workers and families, since being elected to South Dublin County Council in 2019. In my youth I was active in the Scouts and my local football club before moving away to study and work in Limerick, Gothenburg, Geneva, and Paris.
